Homeless Veterans Services
4-Sight Counseling, Inc. has a campaign to battle veterans homelessness.  Veterans have fought for us – now
it is our turn to fight for them.  Our campaign includes two primary components:

Homeless Services:
  • Funds we receive go to local veterans affairs organizations to serve homelessness among vets and
families.  Some of these services are very short term, but homeless vets are being served.

  • We refer homeless vets to local social service agencies for services to homeless individuals.

  • We provide some direct funding for veterans to prevent homelessness which may include mortgage
assistance, rental assistance and if homeless, housing to remedy the current homeless situation.

Transitional Housing:
  • Transitional housing program (projected to open October 2010) is going to be a 10 bed facility to provide
    transitional housing services to homeless veterans.  These services will include, but not be limited to;
social service programs enrollment (if applicable), seeking of qualification for benefits programs (SSI, Social
Security, VA benefits, GI bill, etc).

  • This 24 month program also works with the veterans on employment skills to increase employment or new
    employment training revise employment goals.

  • Health issues and concerns are addressed to include medical conditions and mental health issues or
    problems they may have.

  • This 24 month program is designed to help get the veterans back into the mainstream and work with them
    toward independence and self sufficiency.

  • Upon program completion we will be working with the veterans on housing and getting them established.
One very important component of our program will be the social services interventions and the extensive
    follow-up for the veterans.

  • It seems like so many veterans have been used and forgotten in the “past”, their “present” with us will
not be used and certainly never forgotten.

  • If not for the veterans we could never enjoy the lives we live and it is our turn to make their lives better.
